Here is a checklist for your farm holiday:

1) Get familiar with the rural way of traveling.

2) Select the farms or regions that fit your needs best.

3) Read the terms on the right, and then telephone us or fill out our contact form.

4) We will e-mail or telephone back with specific prices, availability, more information on the properties,
and help you choose the right farm for your needs.

5) After you finalized your selection, we will contact the farm and reserve for you. We will then ask you to pay us a 50% deposit of the total stay (please, read the terms on the right).

6) The balance will be due 60 days before you leave for Italy. On receipt, we will send you a prepaid voucher for the farm stay, directions to the property, telephone numbers, suggested sights to see, routes to drive, restaurant and other recommendations.

BOOKINGS with Italy Farm Holidays, Inc. can be made by phone, fax or e-mail. Farms with house and apartment accommodations require a SEVEN-NIGHT minimum stay, SATURDAY TO SATURDAY - sometimes less in low season. Farms with B & B accommodations require THREE and FOUR NIGHT minimum stays. Some Bed & Breakfast farms include a complete family style meal (usually dinner) in their price, in addition to breakfast.
A DEPOSIT of 50% of the stay at a farm is required upon booking with Italy Farm Holidays and the balance of payment is due no later than six weeks prior to departure from the U.S. Payment is made by check or wire transfer and in U.S. dollars only. CREDIT CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
IF A CLIENT DOES NOT STAY at a farm there is a MINIMUM charge for travel consultation of $100. The price of the farm stay includes the $100 consultation charge, personalized assistance in itinerary planning, farm selection and booking and assistance in arranging for other accommodations, rental car and air reservations.
EXTRA CHARGES, if any, are to be paid locally by the client to the farm and will vary according to the amenities of the farm. They may or may not include and are not limited to meals, if offered, horseback riding and lessons, mountain bikes, cooking or other classes, heat, maid service, final cleaning and security deposit. We will advise our clients before booking concerning the amenities and extra charges at a particular farm.
CANCELLATION more than ten weeks prior to departure will result in a charge of 50% of the deposit. CANCELLATION within ten weeks of departure will result in a charge of 100% of the deposit. CANCELLATION within six weeks of departure will result in a charge of 100% of the booking. TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.
COMPLAINTS OR CRITICISMS about accommodations should be reported to us immediately upon returning from a trip. We have visited each property and the descriptions in the brochure are given in good faith. While we decline all responsibility for any modifications made by the owners without our knowledge, we appreciate client input in order to improve the level of service and/or accommodations at a farm. |
