Il Pino is situated between the small market villages of San Clemente in Valle and Poggio di Loro in the beautiful rolling landscape above the Arno Valley at a height of around 550m/1650 ft, southeast of Florence on the way to Arezzo.

The area belongs to the lesser known delightful parts of Tuscany, characterised by olive groves, vineyards and chestnut forests. There are many historical attractions worth seeing, with a network of well signposted footpaths it is also possible for trekkers and mountain bikers to reach them. 

The picturesque middle age town of Loro Ciuffenna is about 2 miles away poised above the Ciuffenna tributary. Loro C. not only has restaurants, banks, chemist, butchers, bakers and grocery stores but also several attractions, like the last original water mill (11th century) in the area and the collection of the contemporary artist Venturino Venturi.

Originally a farmhouse belonging to the estate of the local fattoria in Poggio di Loro, Il Pino is situated on the south facing terraces of an olive grove in a small valley above the Arno valley with a stunning view of up to 70 km on a clear day. The approach from Poggio di Loro is by means of a steep 1 km long cart track.  Your hosts will receive you in Poggio di Loro and transport you and luggage to the farmhouse, giving you the chance to assess whether you wish to drive down the access road.

Il Pino offers two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and two bedrooms each with there own separate bathroom.  Your hosts, are passionate about all aspects of life in Tuscany. Whether looking after their olive trees, cultivating crops, expanding culinary pursuits or developing their garden concept, their primary objective is to preserve the Tuscan traditions and quality of life. The two b’s in bed & breakfast are taken very seriously. The comfort of your bed is as equally important as the culinary experience of your breakfast, which is never repetitious, utilizing seasonal organically grown products, homemade preserves and bakery.

The furnishing of the interiors harmoniously combines modern with old whilst not forgetting the Tuscan origins and are further characterised by a considerable collection of modern art.
