In the countryside not far from the medieval Tuscan village of Loro Ciuffenna (3 miles) with its appealing shops and restaurants lies the lovely olive farms of Il Belvedere and L'Oliveta. The properties (owned by the same family) are situated in the hills above the Arno river valley, about half way between Florence (25 miles) and Arezzo.
 
 

Il Belvedere, two tastefully and recently restored small two bedroom houses (converted old hay barns), enjoy independence, yet are situated not far from the owner's residence.
 
One house sleeps four in two bedrooms, one double with bathroom and with shower and another bedroom with two single beds. There is a living room/ kitchen with fireplace and very beautiful views of the Arno river valley, sofa bed and another small bathroom with shower.
 
The other house sleeps four to six in two bedrooms, one double and another bedroom with two single beds and two sofa beds in the living room. . Two bathrooms with shower and a large livingroom/kitchen with large dining table & fireplace make up the remaining interior space.
 
Each accommodation boasts its own patio, garden, and barbecue for warm weather dining and relaxing as well as indoor fireplaces for chilly evenings. On the grounds guests enjoy the large swimming pool, playground, ping pong and available mountain bikes. Horse back riding nearby.
 
 
 

 
L'Oliveta, A short drive from Il Belvedere into the Aretine Chianti hills at the foot of the Pratomagno mountains sits L'Oliveta, a traditional farmhouse built in the early 1800's, lovingly restored to maintain its rustic characteristics. The five bedroom house sleeping 8 to 10, on three floors, each with access to the garden, has three bathrooms each with shower.
The comfortable multi-level living areas are ideal for a group of friends or family: ground floor - livingroom with sofa bed, kitchenette, one double bedroom, and one bathroom; first floor - large diningroom with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, one double bedroom, one bedroom with two single beds, one bathroom, and spacious outdoor terrace overlooking the valley; second floor - recreation area with TV Sat., Internet phone connection, one double bedroom, one bedroom with two single beds, and one bathroom.
