A delightful & very recently restored 3 bedroom, 3 bath farmhouse set on the unspoilt Tuscan/Umbrian border south of Siena, easily accessible and only a few miles east of the A1 autostrada.  The restoration respects  the original use of space combined with a very attentive use of light and colour.  
One can enjoy the views of the beautiful surrounding landscape of  Lake of Chiusi, the rolling hills accompanying the view to the Mount Amiata on one side and the Appenines at the distance.  The small villages of Vaiano (basic shopping): 2 minutes; Gioiella (pharmacy, post office The cross road town of Chiusi with shops, restaurants and train station is less then 2 miles away.

Coltorto is a great base for touring Southern Tuscany and Umbria; Siena, Montepulciano, Pienza, Cortona, Orvieto, Perugia, Assisi, Lake Trasimeno & Todi are within an easy distance.  We also highly recommend the small medieval “jewels” in the area full of hidden treasures such as Chiusi, Paciano, Castiglione del Lago, Città della Pieve.  Rome & Florence are 2 hours by car and and 1 hr by train.

With the renovation the owners have created two independent units, one for each floor & have opened just the one on the ground floor, so that present guests will have the exclusive use of the grounds and the pool.  The space comfortably sleeps 6 people with three bedrooms (two doubles and one twin) and three full bathrooms (two with shower and one with a beautiful walled bath tub).   There is a large living room, dining room with large open fireplace and a large eat-in kitchen with modern appliances and pizza oven.  A stone paved patio flank the entrance door and has been furnished for al fresco meals. Beyond is the garden with the pool (5 meters wide and 12 meters long) set amongst herbs bushes and olive trees, with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. A stone bench has been created all around the old tree in the middle of the garden to offer a pleasant shady corner  for rest and relaxation. The house is well equipped with Satellite TV, dishwasher, oven, private parking, garden, two fireplaces, private pool (mt. 12 x 5), CD-player, washing machine, heating and screens on all the windows.   Included in the price is  mid-week change of bath towels, final cleaning, garden and pool. Upon request a first shopping can be provided, cooking, extra household help and laundry service.
