Three characteristic & beautifully restored accommodations (small 2 bedroom villa and 2 apartments) in two antique farmhouses from the 1500s, located on a very picturesque wine estate farm in the hills of the Senese countryside with vast views over the Tuscan hills.  The property is in a quite and peaceful position - 2.5 miles from the charming small town of  Buonconvento with restaurants and all essential shops, 5 miles from Montalcino,  of the famous  "Brunello di Montalcino wine" and 12 miles south of the classic hill town of Siena.  Swimming pool & meals

A  recently  restored 19th century and charming 4 bedroom, 3 bath secluded farmhouse - set in a beautiful wooded valley, amongst the fields and vineyards of the extensive Castello di Galbino estate: 500 meters above the castle with grand views of seemingly endless hills and fields.  The property lies on the crossroads of the Tuscany,  Umbria & Marches regions - an area where Piero della Francesca, Michelangelo, Leornardo di Vinci, Raffael and San Francesco of Assisi were born. The nearest town is Anghiari with thirteen century walls at about 2 & ½ miles from the Galbino estate.

Set high in the hills south east of Pisa,  9 miles away - a 20 min drive (Florence is 48 miles to the east) this patrician country house with 6 bedrooms & 4 baths is approached by an age old alley of birch trees which, beyond the tall gates, leads into the spacious and well kept gardens of the villa.  Once home to two brothers, renowned for their philanthropy   Francesco and Luigi Gioli   who for many years invited leading exponents of the Italian impressionist movement   the Macchiaioli   to spend their summers here. 

The villa is surrounded by extensive lawns, century old oaks, an orchard and a vegetable garden. Beyond the garden walls lie olive groves and fields. The next large village is at a distance of 2.5 miles and a smaller village with shops is 1/2 mile.  Private swimming pool in the garden.

La Fontanelle

South of Siena:
A recently renovated large 7 bedroom, 7 bath farmhouse on two floors and restored with exceptional character using original stone, bricks, terra cotta flooring, antiques and Tuscan wood furniture. 

The property is located in the spectacular countryside of the Orcia valley, renowned since the end of the first millennium as an important stage on the Via Francigena road from France to Rome: 2 miles from the ancient walled town of  Monticchiello and not far from the classic hill towns of  Montepulciano and Pienza. The owners named the farmhouse Le Fontanelle "little springs".  Large well sized rooms with wood-beamed ceilings and open to the most beautiful views of the valley, with wheat fields, olive groves and cypress trees.   Le Fontanelle is the perfect setting for family reunions or groups of friends looking for an “oasis” of tranquillity, surrounded by art and culture. Very large simming pool.

Il Mulino @ La Badia Farm Estate (T30)

A  recently and beautifully restored independent farmhouse with typical tower (former mill) with  6 bedrooms and 5 baths (sleeping 10) or can be rented with 4 bedrooms (sleeping 7).

The property is located on  a large organic farm estate  400 metes above sea level. southwest of Siena on the way to Arezzo.  The nearest village is the medieval hilltop town of Lucignano only 5 minutes away with all shopping facilities and restaurants.  The natural hot springs of Rapolano Terme with two spas are not far and the hill towns of Monte San Savino, Sinalunga, Arezzo Montepulciano, Pienza, Cortona and Siena are all easily reached by car.  The Umbrian cities of Perugia & Orvieto are also within easy driving range and Rome is 2 hours by car.

There is a Swimming pool in the garden and the property overlooks a magnificent Tuscan landscape of rolling hills dotted with umbrella pines and cypress trees punctuating the horizon.


South of Siena:
Coltorto  (T31)
A delightful & very recently restored 3 bedroom, 3 bath farmhouse set on the unspoilt Tuscan/Umbrian border south of Siena, easily accessible and only a few miles east of the A1 autostrada.  Enjoy the views of the beautiful surrounding landscape of  Lake Chiusi and the rolling hills accompanying the view to the Mount Amiata on one side and the Appenines at the distance.
The small villages of Vaiano (basic shopping): 2 minutes; Gioiella (pharmacy, post office). The cross road town of Chiusi with shops, restaurants and train station is less then 2 miles away.  Coltorto is a great base for touring Southern Tuscany and Umbria; Siena, Montepulciano, Orvieto, Perugia, & Assisi. Lake Trasimeno is within an easy distance and the small medieval “jewels” in the area full of hidden treasures such as Paciano, Castiglione del Lago, Città della Pieve.  Rome & Florence are 2 hours by car and and 1 hr by train. 

The aim has been to respect  the original use of space combined with a very attentive use of light and colour.  Lovely swimming pool in the garden.

Location: Panzano in Chianti
A spacious and traditional stone Tuscan farmhouse - built as a monastery in the XV century, on 57 acres of land with olive trees & vineyards - 2.5 Km from Panzano and halfway between Florence and Siena. The house is on two floors with a vine-covered pergola covering a large furnished outside terrace that provides a quite and idyllic setting from which to enjoy the vistas of the Chianti countryside. There are seven bedrooms and 7 bathrooms and can be rented for 13 people. A full size salt water swimming pool is located in the spacious garden with wonderful sunset views to the west.

The Cottage is a few steps from the main farmhouse and consists of a large double bedroom, with bathroom.  It may be rented separately from the main villa in low season only. In high season it may be rented along with the main villa.
